Three hurt in two KCK shootings

Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating two shootings that took place within about 20 minutes of each other Sunday evening and left three people with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said the first shooting occurred about 7:15 p.m. at North 17th Street and Cleveland Avenue. One person was wounded. At about 7:35 p.m., a second shooting, in the 2100 block of 33rd Street, left two people wounded.

It was not immediately known whether the shootings were related.
