Police find van that allegedly fled from double-fatal crash in Overland Park

Overland Park police said Tuesday they have found the van they think was involved in a multi-vehicle accident Saturday that killed a Rockhurst High School senior and a Kansas City, Kan., man.

Police think the black Honda Odyssey was involved in the crash that killed Matthew Bloskey, 18, and Samuel Siebuhr, 20.

Investigators are speaking with a person of interest connected with the van, said Overland Park Police spokesman Officer John Lacy.

Police on Monday had released an enhanced image of the van, and the department received many tips, Lacy said.

The crash happened at 3:23 p.m. Saturday. Police said the van may have hit a car driven by Siebuhr as both vehicles were traveling east on 151st Street near Stearns Street. Siebuhr apparently lost control, clipped another vehicle, then crashed head-on with a westbound car driven by Bloskey. Both drivers died at the scene.

Lacy offered thanks to the public for its help in finding the van. He released no other information, saying the investigation continued.
