Armed robbers hit four Olathe convenience stores in Monday morning spree, police say

Armed robbers held up four Olathe convenience stores within a two-hour period early Monday, according to police.

Two suspects committed the first robbery about 1:46 a.m. at the Presto in the 1000 block of South Harrison Street.

About an hour later, a 7-Eleven in the 900 block of South Parker Street was robbed.

Fifteen minutes later, about 3 a.m., robbers held up the 7-Eleven in the 200 block of North Parker Street.

The fourth robbery occurred shortly before 4 a.m. at the QuikTrip in the 17800 block of West 119th Street.

The suspects were armed with guns in each case, according to police.

Two suspects were involved in the first robbery. One suspect was described as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and was wearing a black zip-up jacket and jeans.

The second suspect was described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and was wearing a gray stocking cap, black jacket with a red stripe and jeans.

A single robber carried out the next three crimes, police said.

In each case, he was described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall, or 5 feet, 6 inches tall.

In two hold-ups he was wearing a black jacket with a red stripe on it. In the other, he was wearing a black jacket and a white hat.

An older, dark-colored SUV was seen leaving one of the crime scenes.

Police did not report any injuries during the robberies.
