Woman found shot and killed inside house in south Kansas City

A woman was found shot and killed Sunday morning inside a house in the 9000 block of Kentucky Avenue in south Kansas City, according to police.

Police responded to a reported shooting in the area about 9:15 a.m.

Arriving officers found the woman inside the house, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives and crime scene personnel were at the scene conducting interviews and processing evidence.

Kansas City police asked for the public’s help in locating Issac Fisher, 35, who is described as a “subject of interest” in the investigation.

Police said Fisher should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 and not approach him.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 816-234-5043 or call the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-8477.

Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
