Convicted Missouri child rapist charged with sexually assaulting children in Olathe
A Kansas City man previously convicted of raping 5- and 6-year-old girls is now jailed in Johnson County for sexually assaulting two more children.
John Kenneth Meder, who is a registered sex offender for crimes committed in 1986 and 1992 in Clay County, was booked into the Johnson County Jail on Friday.
Meder, 63, is charged in Johnson County District Court with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14. Those assaults allegedly occurred in Olathe in 2015 and 2016.
Meder was previously sentenced to 45 years in prison for the Clay County rape convictions, according to Missouri Department of Corrections records.
His bond in the Johnson County case is set at $500,000.
