KCK man charged in airport bomb threat

A federal grand jury charged a Kansas City, Kan., man Friday with making an airport bomb threat in late August.

David James Cain, 33, allegedly told two people at a Kansas City International Airport ticket counter that there was a bomb planted in a truck he had parked in front of Terminal B on Aug. 31.

He is charged with one count of making a bomb threat and one count of conveying false information.

Cain is being held at a state prison in Lansing, Kan., on parole violation. In May 2013, he was sentenced in Shawnee County for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. He was paroled in March.
