Man who accidentally shot himself at Lenexa motel faces criminal charge
An Oklahoma man was charged Monday with illegal discharge of a firearm after he shot himself in the hand at a Lenexa motel.
Anthony D. Zinn told police that he was wounded when his gun accidentally discharged early Sunday at a Super 8 in Lenexa.
Zinn, 57, told police that he was re-holstering the weapon when it went off. He was treated at a hospital and released.
On Monday, he was charged in Johnson County District Court with discharge of a firearm in an occupied dwelling.
