Police investigating decomposing body found near I-435 in KC
Kansas City Police are investigating a death near Interstate 435 on Friday afternoon after a decomposing body was discovered.
Around 1:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene on the east side of Interstate 435 and north of Front Street where they found the body.
Police spokesman Lionel Colon said that an alert citizen saw the body and reported it.
Officers told media that the body was that of an adult, but they could not immediately identify the gender. A cause of death had not been determined as of 3 p.m.
