Kansas City homicide victim identified

The victim of a fatal shooting Sunday in Kansas City was identified Monday as 25-year-old Terez M. Racy.

Racy was pronounced dead after he was brought by private vehicle to a Kansas City hospital about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

After speaking to the witness who drove him to the hospital, police determined that the shooting occurred in the 2000 block of East 37th Street.

The witness told police that she and Racy were sitting in a car when a suspect walked up and shot Racy several times before running off.
