Kansas City motorcycle police officer hurt in wreck

A Kansas City police motorcycle officer was injured Friday after colliding with another vehicle in Kansas City, North.

The accident was reported about 9 a.m. in the 8000 block of North Brighton Avenue.

A van traveling east pulled out in front of the officer from a stop sign.

The officer was unable to avoid the van and hit the side of the vehicle. The officer’s injuries were not serious, police said.

The accident remains under investigation.
