Reward in fatal shooting of Raytown jogger increases to $25,000
The reward for information in the fatal shooting of a Raytown jogger three years ago has increased to $25,000.
The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline and Raytown police said in a release that they still need the public’s help in identifying those responsible for the death of Harry Stone, 60.
Stone was shot in an apparent random act the morning of May 13, 2012, near 67th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard. He died at a hospital.
A donation from a local business, Monopoly Acquisitions, raised the reward to $25,000.
Surveillance video shows that a dark-colored car headed north on Blue Ridge Boulevard passed Stone as he was jogging and someone inside opened fire on him. Police believe there were two men in the car — a driver and a shooter.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). Tips also can be submitted electronically at KCcrimestoppers.com or by texting TIP452 and the information to 274637.
