Suspect vehicle found after KCK homicide

Kansas City, Kan., police said Monday they have recovered the vehicle linked to a Sunday afternoon homicide.

Police Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted that the vehicle had been found in Merriam. Police on Sunday had released a surveillance camera photograph of the Chevrolet SUV and asked for help finding it.

The homicide occurred a little before 2 p.m. Sunday at a gas station in the 6000 block of Parallel Parkway. Police answering a call of shots being fired reported finding a man dead inside a vehicle.

On Monday, police identified the victim as 23-year-old Vincent M. Reliford of Kansas City, Kan.
