KC police identify 46-year-old woman shot to death Sunday

Kansas City police on Thursday identified a woman shot to death Sunday as Jossette Beeks, 46.

Officers responding to an outside disturbance at 9th Street and Indiana Avenue about 10 p.m. Sunday found Beeks mortally wounded at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing a man running away from the area.

Police have not arrested a suspect. Detectives ask anyone with any information on the killing to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
