Conspiracy charge unsealed in Fort Riley bomb plot case

A federal charge of conspiracy was unsealed Tuesday against a man accused of helping a suspect in a plot to bomb Fort Riley in Kansas.

The charge against 28-year-old Alexander E. Blair of Topeka alleges that he provided defendant John T. Booker Jr. with money to rent a storage unit to hold components of an explosive device. Booker, 20, also of Topeka, was arrested last month while allegedly arming what he thought was a 1,000-pound ammonium nitrate bomb just outside the perimeter of the Army base.

Booker is also known as Muhammed Abdullah Hassan. Blair was previously charged with knowing about the bomb plot and failing to notify authorities.
