Police investigate shots fired in south Kansas City apartment hallway

Police are investigating a report of several shots being fired late Monday inside an apartment building in south Kansas City.

The incident was reported just after 10 p.m. in the 8700 block of Holmes Road. The occupants of several apartments told officers that gunshots had penetrated the walls and entered several units.

No injuries were reported. Evidence collected at the scene indicted that at least two persons had fired shots in the hallway.
