Intruder attacks elderly south Kansas City resident
A gunman who claimed to work for a cable television company attacked a 75-year-old south Kansas City resident in his home early Saturday , police said.
The victim told police someone knock on his door in the 600 block of West 107th Street about 8 a.m. and said he was with Time Warner. The victim told police that since the cable company had provided him service last Monday, he opened the door.
The intruder pointed a handgun at the victim and told him to open the safe. After the victim yelled for help, the gunman beat him with the weapon before fleeing. Police did not have a detailed description of the intruder.
The victim was treated at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
