Early morning homicide in Kansas City under investigation

Kansas City police were investigating an early morning homicide Sunday in a residence in the 100 block of N.W. Harlem Road.

Police were called at about 4 a.m. A woman at the residence told police she stabbed her boyfriend in self-defense.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman is in custody, police said.
