Man in critical condition after shooting in the 4400 block of South Benton
Kansas City police are investigating a shooting in the 4400 block of South Benton Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. Monday.
Police spokesman Lionel Colón said a man was reported down in Oak Park at that location. He was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, Colón said.
Community activist Pat Clarke, who lives near the shooting occurred, said he’s frustrated with the ongoing gun violence that has encapsulated the city. “We work hard to make things better,” he said.
