Police said Wednesday that a woman’s death inside an Olathe home is being investigated as a homicide.

The woman, identified by police as 23-year-old Ashley Harlan, had been found dead about 4 p.m. Tuesday inside a home in the 1200 block of E. Westerfield Place, according to Sgt. Logan Bonney, an Olathe police spokesman.

Harlan was inside a unit of the Westerfield Townhouses, which offer cooperative housing in central Olathe.

She had recently relocated to Olathe from Manhattan, Kan., according to Olathe police.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of death.
