Power out in central KC neighborhood after police chase ends with crash into pole
A police chase with a possible homicide suspect ended in a central Kansas City wreck and the suspect in custody.
The brief pursuit ended about 11:45 a.m. Friday in the 3500 block of Mersington Avenue where the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a power pole, knocking down power lines, and causing a power outage in the neighborhood.
A few minutes earlier, another traffic crash was reported at 23rd Street and Spruce Avenue as a result of the chase.
