Mission man charged in Johnson County with child rape
A 33-year-old Mission man has been charged with the rape of a child younger than 14.
Willis A. Wesley also was charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Both charges involve the same alleged victim who was born in 2004, according to court documents.
The alleged crimes occurred last October in Olathe, according to the documents.
Wesley booked into the Johnson County Detention Center Wednesday after a warrant for his arrest was issued Tuesday.
He is also on probation after pleading guilty in 2016 to a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer, according to Johnson County court records.
Bond for Wesley was set at $250,000 in the rape case. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
