One reported shot in Raytown; SUV with bullet holes arrives at police station for help
Raytown police were investigating late Wednesday night after receiving a report of a shooting in the 6500 block of Raytown Road.
A police spokesman said a woman, who had been shot, was driven to the police department at 10000 E. 59th Street just moments after the shooting occurred.
An SUV parked next to the curb of the police department had what appeared to be several bullet holes on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Officers were seen investigating both scenes Wednesday night.
Police said they believe the shooting incident where the woman was injured originated outside a gas station in the 6500 block of Raytown Road.
The gas station is less than a mile from the police department.
Police received a report at 8:26 p.m. Wednesday that a shooting was happening at the gas station. The victim was shot at least twice, police said. Police said she was in critical condition Wednesday night.
Two men were taken into custody at the gas station in connection to the shooting. The driver of the SUV, an adult male, was also taken into custody, police said.
