A Kansas City, Kan., man was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in federal prison for selling methamphetamine trucked in from Mexico.

Luis Enrique Martinez-Rosales admitted in his plea agreement that he sold six to 10 kilograms of the drug weekly before his October 2015 arrest.

When Martinez-Rosales, 25, was stopped by a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper driving on Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County, troopers found about two kilograms of meth and almost $50,000.

Prosecutors said that the drugs were smuggled in tractor-trailers to the Kansas City area from Mexico.
