Police ID woman whose burnt body was found near Grandview apartments’ dumpster

Police identified the woman whose burnt body was found near an apartment dumpster as Lynnette Williams.

The body of the 27-year-old Grandview woman was found Sunday near a dumpster at the Arbors of Grandview apartments in the 6700 block of East 119th Street, according to police.

The dumpster had been set on fire, police said.

Williams had trauma injuries and her body was burned, police said.

Police have a “person-of-interest” in custody and they believe that there is no threat to the community.
