Kansas City checkpoint yields six DUI arrests
Police stopped 558 vehicles and arrested six persons for driving under the influence during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in midtown Kansas City.
The checkpoint was conducted at 4040 Main Street between 11 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday.
Arrests included two for nartcotics-related offenses and one fugitive. One person was cited for resisting arrest.
Other violations cited by police included one for driving with a suspended or revoked license, five hazardous moving violations and five other traffic violations.
