20-year-old identified as KC homicide victim

Police on Friday identified a man found dead inside a car Thursday morning as 20-year-old Dominique Stafford.

A person walking in the area of 37th Street and Elmwood Avenue called authorities about 7 a.m. Thursday after spotting Stafford slumped over inside the car, according to police.

Detectives initially called his death suspicious, but police said Friday it was being investigated as a homicide. Police ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
