One of two alleged “facilitators” in a wide-ranging Kansas driver’s license fraud case was arrested late Thursday night.

Monica Hernandez-Gonzalez was one of two people authorities said earlier Thursday they were seeking in connection with the case involving a driver’s license examiner accused of taking bribes to provide fraudulent licenses.

Prosecutors have charged dozens of people, including the former Kansas Department of Revenue employee, Samantha Jo Moore, who is charged in Johnson County with 51 felony counts.

Hernandez-Gonzalez, 44, of Overland Park, is charged with bribery, making a false writing and felony use of a driver’s license. Her bond is set at $250,000.

Three others also are charged with being facilitators who dealt with Moore on behalf of those seeking phony licenses.

Most of those charged were people who paid as much as $2,500 to obtain a fake license, according to prosecutors.

As of Friday morning, 40 people had been arrested on charges related to the case. Authorities said the investigation was continuing.
