Homicide investigation underway in Kansas City

Police are investigating after a man was found dead Thursday morning in central Kansas City.

A passerby spotted the man’s body about 7 a.m. inside a vehicle in the 3700 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Detectives were at the scene Thursday morning gathering information.

Chief Darryl Forté posted a photograph from the scene with a tweet that said: “CSI and detectives process scene and investigate homicide at 37th and Elmwood. Victim’s identity unknown.”
