Former Manhattan city attorney sentenced for child porn

A former city attorney of Manhattan, Kan., has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography.

Bill Raymond, 55, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Wichita to 17 years and six months in prison.

Raymond, of Andover, Kan., pleaded guilty in August to three counts of transporting child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

He served as city attorney from 2012 until 2015 when he was charged in the child porn case.

Raymond previously served as an assistant county counselor in Sedgwick County, Kan.
