Charges filed in 2016 wreck that killed woman on Metcalf in Mission
A 46-year-old man has been charged with causing a 2016 traffic crash that killed a woman in Mission.
Landunn D. Richardson is charged in Johnson County District Court with reckless second-degree murder or alternatively, involuntary manslaughter, in the death of Vickie L. Taylor.
Richardson, of Kansas City, Kan., is also charged with driving with a suspended license.
He was booked into the Johnson County Detention Center on Monday and his bond is set at $500,000.
Taylor, 50, was killed on Aug. 26, 2016 in the 5200 block of Metcalf Avenue.
Mission police said at the time that she was driving north on Metcalf when a southbound car crossed the median and hit her vehicle.
Richardson requested a court-appointed lawyer at his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 4.
