Police conduct death investigation in KCK apartment community
Kansas City, Kan. police were investigating a suspicious death Monday night in the 3200 block of Coronado Road.
Officers went out to the apartment community on Coronado Road just after 6 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting, and found a male victim in his 30s with life-threatening injuries. Police said it appeared the victim was shot.
The male victim was taken to the hospital where he later died Monday. Police did not release the victim’s name pending positive identification and family notification.
Police said they are investigating the incident as a suspicious death.
KCK Police Chief Terry Zeigler sent a tweet close to 7:15 p.m. Monday saying that officers were heading out to the scene.

Police vehicles were seen driving in and out of a gated apartment community called Fairfax Bluffs Apartments where the shooting was reported.
The death remains under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan. Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.
