Johnson County prosecutors have filed additional charges against the four men accused in the killing of a Shawnee gun store owner.

Monday’s scheduled preliminary hearing for the four men was postponed until July 27 at the request of defense attorneys.

Jon Bieker was fatally shot Jan. 9 during an attempted armed robbery of She’s A Pistol, a store he owned with his wife, Becky.

The suspects — Londro E. Patterson III and Deanthony A. Wiley, both 20, Nicquan K. Midgyett, 19, and Hakeem W. Malik, 18 — initially were charged in Johnson County District Court with first-degree felony murder.

Prosecutors recently added charges of attempted aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and aggravated battery for allegedly assaulting Becky Bieker during the incident.

All but Malik were wounded in the exchange of gunfire. All four suspects are being held in the Johnson County Jail.
