Man arrested for attempted homicide in shooting at Olathe mobile home park
Editor’s note: In 2019, this criminal case concluded with Bradley Wayne King pleading guilty to aggravated battery and criminal threat. He was not convicted of attempted murder. He was released from prison in 2021.
A shooting early Tuesday morning in Olathe’s Santa Barbara Estates left one man in critical condition and another man has been jailed for attempted homicide.
Bradley Wayne King, 45, of Olathe was booked in the Johnson County jail Tuesday afternoon. Formal charges are pending review by prosecutors, police said.
Police were called at 1:48 a.m. to investigate a disturbance on Santa Ana Lane in the mobile home park near 119th Street and North Ridgeview Road.
Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. King was taken in for questioning and later arrested and jailed.
