Teen was shot to death inside KCK laundromat, police say

Police are investigating the shooting death of a teenager found early Saturday inside a Kansas City, Kan. laundromat.

KCK police said they were called to the 2400 block of South 34th Street in Argentine where they found an Asian male in his teens shot to death.

Investigators determined the teen was shot Friday night and discovered Saturday morning.

A man at Maple Hill Laundry, a laundromat on the south edge of a shopping center across the street from the Maple Hill Cemetery, said the body was found inside the business. The man declined to identify himself.

Police have not yet identified the victim, pending identification and notification to his family. The KCK Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate.

KCK police are asking anyone who was at the laundromat between 7 and 10 p.m. Friday to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
