Teen driver to be charged as adult in O.P. traffic death
An Overland Park teenager was certified Tuesday to be charged as an adult in the August 7 death of man who was struck while standing next to a parked vehicle in the 8400 block of Tomahawk Road.
Conner Estrella was 17 at the time of the incident that killed 52-year-old Kevin Patrick Moroney and injured Maureen Hogg. Estrella was previously charged as a juvenile with involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery. Prosecutors allege he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
