KU student hit by car near Allen Fieldhouse

A University of Kansas student was seriously hurt Saturday afternoon when he was hit by a car near Allen Fieldhouse.

Campus police said the 21-year-old student was flown to the University of Kansas Hospital for treatment after being hit in the 1500 block of Irving Hill Road about 3 p.m.

Police said the student, who was thought to be on his way to work, was alert and conscious after the crash. The accident was still under investigation.
