Convicted Missouri sex offender charged with sex abuse of teen in Shawnee
A man in prison for child sex crimes in Missouri has been brought to Johnson County to face trial for another allegation of sexual abuse.
Denis Aguilar was booked into the Johnson County Jail on Wednesday.
He is charged in Johnson County District Court with aggravated indecent liberties with a child and sodomy. The charges stem from an incident in in Shawnee in 2012 involving a 15-year-old child.
Aguilar, 26, is serving an 18-year prison sentence at the prison in Cameron, Mo., for attempted child enticement and attempted statutory sodomy in Platte County, according to court and prison records.
That case involved Aguilar threatening to post nude pictures of a teen girl online if she didn’t have sex with him.
