Lenexa woman arrested for DUI and child endangerment
A Lenexa mother was in custody Monday morning following her arrest over the weekend for driving under the influence and endangerment of a child.
A Lenexa police officer at a HyVee grocery store on an unrelated call shortly before midnight Saturday was approached by a person who believed 41-year-old Sherri Berray of Lenexa was intoxicated.
The officer followed Berray out of the store and as she drove away, police said, noted several traffic violations. The officer stopped Berray’s car and noted a 21-month-old child that had apparently been left unattended in the vehicle when Berray went into the HyVee, police said.
