Driver charged with Olathe sexual assault of woman with special needs

A 73-year-old transport van driver is charged with sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman with special needs in Olathe last year.

Terry Mize Curry, of Kansas City, North, is charged in Johnson County District Court with a felony count of aggravated sexual battery.

The incident allegedly occurred last September on a vehicle driven by Curry. The victim was a participant in a program for young adults with special needs operated by the Olathe School District.

A company Curry worked for contracted with the district to provide transportation.

The charges allege that the women was unable to give consent to sexual contact because of “mental deficiency or disease.”

Curry is free on bond and his next court appearance is scheduled for May 13.
