Prairie Village teen charged with multiple sex crimes

A Prairie Village teenager who recently turned 18 has been charged with rape and other sex crimes involving juvenile victims.

Kessler Lichtenegger was charged this week in Johnson County District Court with rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, two counts of electronic solicitation of a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

The incidents occurred last year and involved victims younger than 14, according to the complaint filed in court.

A judge set his bond at $250,000.

Lichtenegger initially was charged last year as a juvenile because the alleged crimes occurred before he turned 18. The charges were re-filed this week after a judge ruled that he should stand trial as an adult.
