A Kansas City man has been charged with kidnapping and robbing five people during home invasion robberies in Prairie Village.
Marcell Mayo, 51, is charged in Johnson County District Court with four counts of robbery, three counts of kidnapping and two counts of aggravated burglary.
He was booked into the Johnson County Detention Center on Tuesday night and is being held on a bond of $100,000.
The crimes occurred on May 19 and May 27 in the area of 75th Street and Nall and Roe avenues, according to court documents.

One of the victims was an 80-year-old woman.
She reported that a man she didn’t know knocked on her door then forced his way in where she was robbed and forced into a different room.
In the second incident, a resident and three people who were visiting her robbed by a man matching the same description of the suspect in the first incident.
