An Independence man is facing federal charges for allegedly selling nearly a half pound of heroin to an undercover agent.
Ronald Seagal Washington, 25, is charged in U.S. District Court in Kansas City with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
According to court documents, an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives made 11 heroin purchases from Washington between over a six-month period this year.
The drugs sold totaled nearly 200 grams, according to the documents.

Washington was arrested last Friday, and federal prosecutors are seeking to have him held without bond while the case is pending.
