Suspicious death in central Kansas has KBI, sheriff looking for Ford pickup

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Ottawa County sheriff are asking for help finding a Ford pickup connected to a suspicious death near Tescott, Kan.

Authorities are looking for the silver 2006 F-150 extended-cab pickup with the Kansas license tag of 892 DZ0 and a front tag of “EATBEEF.” The pickup has a chrome push guard on the front and a black plastic tool box in the back.

The pickup is connected to a suspicious death investigation that began about 7:15 p.m. Saturday. A person called 911 reporting that there was a dead person at a house in the 800 block of Kansas 18 in Tescott, which is northwest of Salina.

Deputies responding to the scene found the body of Matthew Schoshke, 35, who lived at the house.

Anyone who sees the pickup is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office at 785-392-2157.
