Victim expected to survive after shooting in south KC

Police were investigating a shooting that injured one person Saturday in Kansas City.

The shooting was reported at 4:23 p.m. near Barrymore and Hickman Mills drives in the southern part of the city.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. They are expected to survive.

Police did not release suspect information or a motive for the shooting.
