Lenexa police investigate park rampage that injured kids

A man on a rampage injured three children at a Lenexa park, damaged property and menaced people with a gun Monday, police said.

Police were called to the 9200 block of Boehm Road about 11 a.m. on reports that a person armed with a gun was throwing rocks at cars. Officers arrested a suspect after a short foot chase.

Police said they determined that the gunman hurt three children at a nearby park. They sustained cuts, busies and scratches to their face, arms and hands, police said.

An Air Soft gun was recovered from the crime scene.
