Sport Clips, Minsky’s Pizza burglarized early Tuesday in Shawnee
Police were looking for the person or people who shattered the glass of the main doors of two Shawnee businesses and burglarized them early Tuesday.
The first burglary occurred shortly before 1 a.m. at the Sport Clips in the 16300 block of West 65th Street. Officers responded to reports of an alarm and found that the burglar or burglars had forced their way through the main door.
About 40 minutes later, an employee for Minsky’s Pizza called police saying someone had broken into the restaurant’s location in the 7100 block of Renner Road.
The employee had gone to the restaurant to check out an alarm call and discovered that a burglar or burglars had forced their way through the main door.
Police said the amount of loss was not known Tuesday morning.
Because the two burglaries are a mile apart and the businesses were burglarized in a similar manner, police were investigating whether the two crimes were related.
