Man found guilty of killing his boss outside University of Kansas Hospital
A 48-year-old man was convicted Thursday in the 2015 fatal shooting of his boss outside the University of Kansas Hospital.
A Wyandotte County District Court jury found Willie E. Parker guilty of first-degree murder in the July 2015 killing of Michel Ziade.
Ziade, 54, of Lee’s Summit, owned a medical transport company and Parker worked for the company.
The shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Rainbow Boulevard outside the hospital.
Parker was arrested about a week later after a standoff with police in Kansas City.
Sentencing for Parker is scheduled for July 28.
