KC police discount kidnap report

Kansas City police said Friday that that no crime occurred in connection with the reported attempted kidnapping of a teen girl.

A 16-year-old girl reported that a masked person armed with a knife pulled her from her bedroom window about 2 a.m. Friday in the 5900 block of Norfleet Road in east Kansas City.

After looking into the allegation, police announced Friday afternoon that the investigation determined that “no offense occurred.”
