Man sentenced to 15 years for Basehor child rape

An Olathe man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the rape in October last year of a 12-year-old Basehor child.

Leavenworth County prosecutor Todd. G. Thompson said John E. Rowe Jr., 27, made contact with the victim on a social media site and took a taxi to Basehor where he climbed into the victim’s window. Rowe was arrested the next day in a park in Basehor.
