Victim shot and his shoes were stolen during weekend armed robbery in Kansas City

Police were investigating an armed robbery where the victim said he was shot after his shoes were stolen.

The robbery took place in a parking lot in the 4600 block of the Paseo. The victim told police that an unknown male approached and attempted to rob him.

The victim didn’t have anything, so the assailant took the victim’s shoes and shot him with what was described as a rifle, police said.

The victim drove himself home and his father brought him back to the scene when they called police.
